What will the  ASSEMBLY do ?

Sunday 15th

BANNER’S MAKING

As part of the student assembly, this open event invites the public to join students in a moment of encounter and collaboration through the collective creation of a large political banner, which will be displayed on campus throughout the festival. Smaller banners may also be created. We invite everyone to join us — whether to take part or simply to stop by and visit our politicized campus space!

15.30-17:00 in the front garden

Thursday 19th

Open event in an open space

We would like to welcome  in  the launching of the  final report of the research: " Dancing with - A Report on Three European Dance Higher Education Institutions"  co-hosted by the Assembly of Parts, a student initiative.

The themes of the exchange will land upon Equity, Diversity, and Social Justice in dance education, the question of a pluriversal form of education in dance, and the idea of "hosting otherwise" through the lenses of decoloniality and intersectionality.

“ to dance with each other across differences, from each one’s place in the world, recognising the violence we may witness, and seeking to find alliances, learning, and joy”

The day will include :

  •  a presentation, discussion and  interaction  collectively upon the final report of the DDE research.

  • Sharing text material, and close reading all together.

  • Open, free-spirit reflection, meta-talk, or brainstorming time from the Assembly and beyond.

Friday  20th

We aim to meet for an Internal Workshop for revisiting the space we are commonly holding and we want to pass on.

It is an internal workshop to gather testimonies and advices on ‘’feeling hosted’’ for the next generation(s), transgenerational tool

For the day we are proposing the ‘’Making of a  map’’ to localize the solidarity based spaces in Brussels and more, spaces that  seek to apply the principles of social and solidarity economy, sustainability, contribution to neighborhood life, social support and political activation. This came from the desire to map and realise the city infrastructures differently and gather the knowledge that we all have in a common new space. What spaces were there for us the last three years?
