Drifters
This film is the one rehearsal day of “Drifters” which is a drinking alcohol piece performed on 21st of June in RPS.
On this rehearsal day, it took 4 hours to get drunk after school. Even after being kicked out by closing buildings, they spent time in the garden, just in front of the PARTS entrance in order to support our body.
In this project, they are facing how our body and mind changes under the substance.
Usually when we are drinking alcohol, we just enjoy talking or club dancing, not analysing the happenings in our body. (some dancers are doing so sometimes, maybe?)
They thoroughly research the state of their intoxicated bodies, following sudden desires and acting before thinking deeply. As a result, they sometimes find themselves struggling to deal with the consequences afterward, or unable to clearly explain the reasons behind their own actions.
In the second half of this video, some of them have lost their memory. No one knows what they were thinking at the time. What impulse leads you to do?
Careless with others, careful with our friends.
We become more eloquent than usual, and stop worrying about the little things.
At its core, this piece is just an experiment.
Witness each member’s unique and fascinating unfolding through each body.
