Do You Want To Crawl Higher?

At first sight,

you might think that my solo suggests

that I‘m enlarging myself,

as this is something that makes me unique.

It's not very common, being 1.90m tall as a girl.

But I also have been inspired by the painting of René Magritte,

‘Les Amants’ (1928), which is about two lovers, with their faces covered by a cloth over their head.

I interpreted this painting as

‘Love makes blind’.

But in my opinion, love isn’t the only thing that can be blinding.

Also ‘Money makes blind’.

Always wanting more and more to get satisfied.

Never getting enough…

It’s the same for perfectionism, always putting your limits higher up for yourself.

However, we should learn ‘to look down’ and see what we actually need.

Do we really need to crawl so high?

I want to show with my performance that we should try to spend more attention to what we actually need, instead of listening to our thoughts, wishing for more.
