Rosas Danst Rosas

For five weeks, students in the 3rd year of the Bachelor Training program were given the opportunity to participate in a workshop to learn the material of Rosas Danst Rosas, created in 1983 by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. Exploring the original material, its inherent qualities and the profound role of breath in this choreography presented challenges on many levels. The process also sparked fascinating discussions about contemporary creation methods

The transmission and guidance of this process were led by Johanne Saunier, the rehearsals for the FRACTA festival were led by Cynthia Loemij - both of them had first-hand experience with the original choreography.
